BROWNIES

  • 2 cups (400g) white sugar
  • 250g butter
  • 1/2 cup (45g) cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups (185g) plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup walnut halves

  • Melt the butter or margarine and mix all ingredients in the order given.
    Bake at 180 degrees C for 20 to 30 minutes in a 20x30cm greased pan.
